Who made this website

A team of researchers and a group of people with aphasia made this website.

We wanted to make sure the information on the website would be useful for people with aphasia. And we wanted to make sure the design of the website would make it easy for people with aphasia to use.

The group members helped make decisions about the website. Some group members also made their own web pages.

In a previous research project people with aphasia talked about their lives. What they said was published in the Aphasia Handbook. Some of the information on this website is taken from the Aphasia Handbook.

The project was funded by the ESRC. It is part of the Innovative Health Technologies programme.

The researchers are:

Thanks also to Bridget Long, Carole Pound, Sharon Farrelly, Flis Henwood and all at Connect who have contributed to the project in many ways.

Special thanks to Caroline Firenza for allowing us to use her illustrations.
