While I was in Sweden teaching for two years, I also
had lots of other interests including baking and cooking. This included
the following dishes:
Rice and
Prawn Dish
Mushrooms fried in lots of butterBoiled
rice according to the number of people
Mix
rice, mushrooms and curry powder according to taste Crab
meat Large
packet peeled prawns approx.
300ml cream 1.5
teaspoons arrowroot and
salt and pepper 1
pk. grated cheese - emmental and
a little parmesan Mix
through all of the ingredients Warm
through slowly in the oven c. 150 – 175 for about twenty minutes to half
an hour.
Kola
Tarta Mix
together 2 eggs, 300g of sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla
sugar. Add
3 – 4 tablespoons of cocoa, mix in ½ teaspoon salt and 100g
of melted butter. Then mix in 150g of a litre of flour and ½
teaspoon baking powder. Place
in a cake tin and in the oven, at 175 C, for about 35-40 minutes. Tosca Tarta

eggs 150g
sugar 200g
flour 1
teaspoon baking powder 50ml
cream 75g
margarine Mix
all of these ingredients together. Icing
50g
margarine 50g
sugar 1
tablespoon flour 1
teaspoon cream 50g flaked almonds Whip
eggs and sugar. Add flour,
baking powder, cool melted
margarine and cream and stir. Put
it in a round form. Put
it in the oven, 175 C for 20 minutes Meanwhile
make the icing. Mix all
ingredients in a saucepan and gently warm until is it all mixed and
thickened Spread
the icing over the cake Bake
the cake for 10 minutes more or until it has a bit more colour.
