My
first record is Paul Anka Love me warm and tender because my mother
and father had a record player when I was seven and that’s the
first record I heard. Next record is My Boy Lollipop by Milly – that’s one my first records I bought my own pocket money and Milly signed my photograph.
But
then my love music is folk. I love Dylan and Joan Baez. But I think if one record is
something by Bob Dylan, probably Desolation Row. After
that there’s Motown music, and I think my favourite record
is called Ain’t too proud to beg with Temptations. Soon come of Summer of Love ('67) and my first favourite record is a band called Love, a song called Alone Again. Then
I really love first proper rock bands. First band I like is Led Zeppelin Stairway
to Heaven. Obviously Santana and Free and later Jan Joplin and Jimi Hendrix. Of course then came Bob Marley, Exodus or Stir it Up, I can't choose! Early punk for me it’s not too good. Doesn't appeal. But after punk, I like Meatloaf. Or my favourite two songs, Babe Ruth Black dog and Pavlov’s Dog She came shining. And
I like a band called John Otley and Wild Willy Barrett, the song is called
Beware of the flowers. Of
course I like reggae and I like more Motown. So
I like the records called Jump Pointer Sisters and I like Jimmy
Clift Many rivers to cross. Then
later I like the band Communards, Jimmy Somerville and Richard Grey You
are my world. I don't like pop music but sometimes I like completely different music like world music. |
