- It is usually easy to diagnose a stroke.
- Often, doctors can tell just by examining you.
- Your symptoms may be typical of stroke.
But sometimes it's important to find out:
- whether you've definitely had a stroke.
- the type of stroke you've had.
- whereabouts in the brain the stroke has happened.
If this is the case you may need to have a number of tests and investigations.
None of them should cause you any pain.
